17. Never get a fever? Always tired? Put your brain to Work! — 188 Comments

    • Dear Komal,
There can be many many reasons why you are tired. If you never have a fever, your body may be suffering from viruses or bacteria that make you tired. The fever helps you body to destroy viruses and bacteria. When you do the MIR-Method (it’s my free gift to the world), then your body can start making fevers again.
Good luck and growing health to you!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

    • Dear Komal,
It can have many reasons. Mostly it comes from old emotions from when you were young. You can start healing your body by using the MIR-Method. Have a look at the videos and give it a try!
Your body knows how to heal itself!

  2. Hello sir actually recent 3/4 years have passed I don’t have any fever?????? Pliz reason

    • Dear Manu,
No fever is okay, but are you also very tired? Then yes, take care. As you can read in the article above, your brains are not doing what they are supposed to do, especially the Hypothalamus. You can use the MIR-Method to fire up your immune system. Please have a look at the instruction video. It is totally for free.
      Good luck and good health!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  4. I have not run a fever since I was little I’m 25 now I work at daycare with sick kids and I am ALWAYS exhausted it’s actually ridiculous

    • Dear Carol,
It would be SO great if you would run a lovely fever. Especially when you work with children, since they carry around so many bacteria and viruses. Hope you will regain the health with the MIR-Method to create a nice fever again!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  5. Am a 61 female and have never had a fever in my life my 39 year old son has the same disorder, I’m so glad to hear that we are not the only people in the world that suffer from a lack of fever, I’ve been ill many times and the doctores just sent me home saying it just a virus to take a couple of Tylenol and los of fluids, when I was younger it would help to go to the gym or for a run and sweat that would make me feel better, recently for the first time in my life I came down with the flu and it’s taking all I’ve got, I feel drained and fatigued and just can’t shake it off I’m going on 2 and a half weeks..what can I do, I just don’t have the energy to exercise or jog

    • Dear Yolanda,
Of course I hope your body WILL create a fever soon! If not, maybe (and this is a wild guess) you could go to a sauna and make your body temperature rise quite a bit? Please take care that you drink enough water while being in the sauna.
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  6. Hi
I haven had a fever for 18 years. (Before that i caught fever often. Im a vegetarian too.) During the last 18 years i hardly fell sick. Always energetic and worked day and night 24/7. But 2 years ago i caught autoimmune thyroiditis. Still i dont catch fevers. But when ever i catch a common cold i get severe autoimmune.

  7. I am 39 year old female. I am always tired and it has interfered with what I can accomplish in a day. I run a low basal body temp (ranges from 96-97). I never get a temperature and it is hard to be taken seriously when I’m sick. I’ve had pneumonia, appendicitis, and the flu without having a temp. My blood pressure runs low too (usually no higher that 100/60). It’s been as low as 84/56. When I’m sick it goes up to around 120/70, which is normal for other people. Once again, it makes it hard to be taken seriously. I have had bloodwork done to try and find the source of my exhaustion. I have dizziness and nausea spells that will last weeks. It comes and goes. My heart will pound in my chest often. Not fast per se, but just a hard pounding that seems to shake my whole body. Doctors say my heart is fine. I stay hydrated, thinking that dehydration causes a lot of my symptoms, but I don’t notice a big change. I don’t know what to think anymore.

    • Dear Aaran,
Would you mind taking a consultation with one of the MIR-Method coaches? I am quite sure she can figure out for you what is going on. If she can’t figure it out, she will consult me.
Please have courage, there is an answer for you!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

      • I’m a 55 year old female. I had a hysterectomy at 42. I’m over weight by 50lbs. I have chronic sinus infections on the left sinus and ear. I have had more antibiotics then I can remember. I never run a fever. But I do sweat uncontrollably, mostly head and chest. I haven’t been able to smell anything for 20years. I’m seeing an ENT now. Dr is having me do an MRI and blood work. Dr believes that I may have an infection that has been there for years, never really getting healed. Would this cause my uncontrollable sweating.

        • Dear Dee,
The body uses sweating to balance the acids. If your body is too acid, it may use sweating as a means of become more alkaline. Have a look at what you drink. Is it containing much sugar, like in sodas or fruit juice? Besides that it can be that your potassium is out of balance, but your doctor will discover that. I am not a doctor and I expect your doctor will find the cause. And yes, the fact that you don’t run a fever could be the cause that your infection can grow because the body cannot handle it properly. Hope it will turn out for the better! Keep me posted, would love to hear what your doctor discovers and how you’re doing. Meanwhile you can support your system with the MIR-Method.
          Greetings! Mireille Mettes

  8. Hi, I’m a 53 year old male and I just realized I no longer develop fevers. In 2000, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease. I was treated with 6 rounds of ABVD chemotherapy and 20 radiation treatments. I’ve been clean since, but was told that my thyroid was likely rendered useless. I am on thyroid medication. Over the past 10 years, I’ve endured very elevated stress through job loss and divorce, among other things. I have been working 55-60 hours per week for 5 out of the last 6 years, due to various needs beyond my control. I often don’t sleep well and have periods of extreme fatigue. I exercise 4-6x per week, 30 min treadmill and 20 min weights. When I contract an illness, or at least it feel so to me, it lingers over a period of 2-3 weeks. During this 2-3 week period I feel a very general malaise, very poor digestion, mid-level symptoms, and no fever. It just hit me that I don’t know how many years it’s been since I’ve had a fever. Now, over the past 2 years, I’ve been dealing with what seems to be prostatitis flare ups. I’ve been prescribed antibiotics twice and it still keeps coming back. I also take OTC Nexium for GERD. I recently started to supplement with probiotics, after self evaluating all of these factors. Can you offer any additional suggestions?

    • Dear David,
It is very good that you exercise often. You have had quite a seriously stressful period in your life. That may cause illness. Please keep a good eye on the foods you choose. Do you do the MIR-Method? Then you already work on improving your immune system. Besides that you could study the additional techniques. Especially the one about bacteria and viruses. And check the technique about medication. If you want to have the root causes tested, you can always consult a MIR-Method coach.
      Wishing you an increasing health!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  9. I’m 65 yr’s old. I’ve had strep throat many times. Had rheumatic fever twice, blood poisoning but never had a fever. Never! I’m losing my hair for 5 yr’s now and am fatigued all the time. My temp runs at about 95 and sometimes 94.5 F. Once in awhile it’ll go to 96. All the doctors I’ve mentioned this to say it’s fine not to worry. However, once when I went into anaphylaxis my temp went down to 86. I was admitted to hospital and the next morning the ER doctors all came up to see if I was alive. I was only 25yrs old so didn’t understand their concern. I’m just wondering why I’ve always had a lower temp and even when sick never had a fever? Is it ok?

    • Dear Alma,
No, it is not okay. Your body really lacks a very important tool to stay healthy: fever. Please keep doing the MIR-Method and find a MIR-Method guide if you want to find out why your body doesn’t make high temperatures. It is good to find out so you can help your body.
      Wishing you ever increasing health!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  10. Hi. I have a 13 year old son who has Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. It’s a lesser known cancer. It damaged his hypothalamus, anterior pituitary, and killed his posterior pituitary glad leaving him with no ADH and thyroid problems. He does not ever run a fever. This past week he got strep throat. The only reason I knew something was wrong was because he was sleeping 22 hours a day. Then he got what I thought were the symptoms of the flu; body aches, nausea, minor sore throat, and weakness throughout his body. His pediatrician tested him for the flu and strep and she couldn’t believe when it came back positive for strep because he didn’t have a fever. The funny thing is last year he had the flu and strep at the same time and didn’t have a fever. The human body is crazy!

    • Dear Jennifer,
When the immune system cannot function properly, it cannot run a nice fever. Please have a look at the Additional Techniques regarding virus and bacteria. If it is too costly, I am working on a website where you can find it, but it will take a few more months before it is ready. Hope your son will get better, slowly but surely!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  11. I’ve been really sick for a week with flu like symptoms- extremely tired, dizzy, chills, headache, nausea, weakness but no fever. For as long as I can remember I have not ran fevers. I’m 56 years old and have 3 grown children. Anytime they were sick or I was around any sickness I usually picked it up but did not run a fever. I do however usually get the chills or run the low fever.

  12. I or rather my body and emotionally, I changed more than 20 years ago. After my pregnancies it changed even more. In the last 5 years ago I have not been lay on my back because of the swelling burning pain I experience on my back, neck, and head. In this passed year, the pain is now on my hips and more debilitating. I’ve had not had a real fever in in almost 15 Year but year ago I experience a temp of 1001…yes, not much. Doctor tell all is well and don’t understand why I feel pain… I’m 53. There more symptoms but I fear I will write too much.. Thank you!!

    • Dear Maggie,
I truly hope the MIR-Method will bring you some relief. If not, please consult a MIR-Method coach, because they can test what is going on deep inside you, causing the pains or making your body not produce any fever. They use muscle testing to find it out. You can reach them through Skype or Telephone.
Hope your pain will soon diminish!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  13. Hello. I am a 44 yr old female. Asking my mother about early youth and her telling me “no”, never. I have never once since the day I was born had a fever. I didn’t get sick growing up, and rarely until a few years ago. I currently have pneumonia (2 weeks) have been thru a course of antibiotics, and still no fever. If it wasn’t for X-rays and blood work I don’t think a doctor has ever believed I was sick. I am hyper, yet exhausted, always. I run a higher heart rate at rest than normal, 92. What the heck is wrong with me and how can it be fixed? Thanks for taking time to read this.

    • Dear Carrie,
If you want to dig into it, you can consult one of the MIR-Method coaches. They use muscle testing to find out what is going on in your body. Hope it can help you! If they can’t find the answer, they will consult me.
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

    • Carrie I am 63 years old and have not ran a fever for quite a few years. I am always tired. I have been diagnosed with Mesenteric Paniculitis. This is my second go round with this disease. The doctors say it is caused by inflamation in my small intestine.I also suffer with hear disease. I have had my mitral valve replaced and have leackage in my aortic valve and tricuspit valve. I have not had a good night sleep in GOD knows when. Please someone tell me what should I do. I see different doctors for different things, but not one of them have addressed this.

      • Dear Irene,
Have you tried doing the MIR-Method for your sleeping disorder? And please read here about sleep. And how it can be improved by doing the MIR-Method. You might also want to consider consulting a MIR-Method coach for specific details to help you overcome your problems quicker.

  14. I just have a question. I got sick about a week ago took off of work for 3 days took meds and felt better by Monday now 2 weeks later out of nowhere I left work with a high fever and I’m always tired. My face is burning up my body stays cold. Is it possible to get sick this many times in a short period of time

    • Dear Monica,
Yes, that’s possible. Take the rest your body needs. Give it time to heal itself. If the fever doesn’t drop in 2 days, please consult a doctor. In the meantime try to celebrate the fact that your body is doing awesome by creating a fever!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  15. I had pneumonia for 8 months workout running a fever. I had it so long that it turned to sepsis and septic shock. Still no fever. I nearly died because my doctor didn’t take any of my symptoms seriously, I guess because I didn’t run a fever. I couldn’t breathe, got down to 103 pounds and I’m 5’6″ tall. I’m exhausted and have trouble even getting out of bed. This may sound strange, but I think I’m incapable of running a fever.

    • Dear Susan,
Yes, it all makes good sense to me. Would you like to give the MIR-Method a try? It can help your body create a fever again and maybe that will start off your healing process…
Wish you lots of courage to keep on going!!!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  16. I can’t remember the last time I’ve ran a good fever. I know it’s been a good while. I suddenly hit a wall and realized that something might be going on when I had my daughter in early April. I had my six week check in early May. Long story short, I had retained placenta and didn’t realize it. My only symptom was feeling exhausted (having a newborn and a two year old will do that to you) and my stomach was tender. (I mean, I wrote it off that I had just given birth.) I had to have an emergency D&C. All of my nurses and my doctor told me that they couldn’t believe I didn’t run a fever and was still up and about thinking that everything was fine. I do have hyper parathyroidism and a genetic disorder called MEN1 (multiple endocrine neoplasia type one) maybe this has something to do with it?

    • Dear Taylor,
I cannot confirm you with certainty, because I am not a licensed doctor. However, it does seem to be logical. Since the hormone system does regulate the temperature in your body. Would you like to give the MIR-Method a try? Having consultations with your doctors can make you capable of checking your body how it is doing. Hope to hear from you again!
      Good luck!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  17. I don’t get fevers, even when I am so ill I can’t move. I’ve been diagnosed with Lupus as well. My body is in constant pain and the fatigue is terrible. Could MIR help me?

    • Dear Brandi,
Yes, it could, but give it time. It would be worth to help your body create a fever.
      Hope you will get better!
      Greetings, Mireille

  18. Oh my gosh. I never have fevers when I’m sick. I have adrenal fatigue as well. I have medullary sponge kidney disease and it causes all kinds of issues, I actually went septic last year and never ran a fever. when I catch ilnesses that my kids had, and they ran a fever, I don’t get a fever with it. I don’t treat my kids fevers either because I want their immune system to work. I do not get fevers. Last fever I had, was very low grade. when I get extremely sick, I don’t run fevers. I was thinking that it was probably not a good thing, and this was the only thing I could find about the topic! Thank you.

    • Dear Stacey,
Good thinking! I am glad you understand how the immune system works. I hope you will want to give the MIR-Method a try to let your immune system build up the functioning of creating a fever. Hope to hear from you when your first fever’s there!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  19. Im not sure ive ever had a fever and I am so tired all the time with little energy it is definitely a battle I constantly deal with.

    • Dear Ginni,
Then I hope the MIR-Methode will help you to create a good fever to maybe deal with the causes of your tiredness!
Hoping you will regain your energy soon!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  20. I havent had a fever since i was 11 even wen im really sick…and seems i feel tired alot and dont feel well alot its really bothersome

    • Dear Uniquela,
Yes, it’s really bothersome when you always feel tired. Please give the MIR-Method a try and see if you can let your body build a really nice fever!
Hope you will start to feel less tired soon!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  21. I am 40 years old and I dont remember when I got fever. I might hve got when I was 23 years but i feel tireness all the day and often gets throat infection. I am wrking as a teacher

  22. The last time I had a fever I was in my early 30’s . I am now 68. I never feel well. I have an under active thyroid & body aches. I was put on disability in 2000, & , but all tests come back negative

    • Dear Pam,
Sometimes test give results, but your body is in distress, just not within the margins of what a doctor considers ‘healthy’. Would you please give the MIR-Method a try? I hope you will build your body strong enough to give you a wonderful few days of fever!
Hope your body will feel better soon!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  23. Hi, I never got a fever since 2013 till now,2017, meaning, 4years straight. I don’t know why but I also feel fatigue, dizziness, headaches, and others, but never had a fever. How was it?

    • Dear Kim,
When you start using the MIR-Method it can happen that you will have a fever after a few months. Then welcome the fever, because it will clear you from stuff that shouldn’t be in your body. Hope it will clear your fatigue, dizziness and headaches!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  24. Hi
I got fever in 2013 which last for more then 1 month, after that I never got any fever till today.
But got many other symptoms like severe fatigue, easy bruises, pain in lymph node, genital infeaction once or twice in every these years, nasal block, eye tearing, not able to sleep, fearfulness, vivid dreams, inflammation while passing sperm some time, intolerance to heat, tension headache, dehydration etc..
All the testing have been done like ana, hiv, hepatitis etc all are negative.
Same symptoms are being observed by my spouse from the same time
Please help and suggest me,what should I do to overcome these issues

Before 2013, I used to get fever every year

    • Dear Kaushal,
Would it be possible for you to contact one of the MIR-Methode guides for a consultation? I am very happy that all the tests have turned out negative. That’s a relief! Now you have to find out the underlying causes of your complaints. MIR-Method guides can do that through a testing method I have taught them, using muscle tests.
Let me know it this is a possibility for you. Meanwhile, keep doing the 9 steps and allow your body to heal itself!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  25. Hi.
My name and is baby n I am 29yr old. from past 7yr I didn’t get fever.last year I have got latent tuberculosis infection.and now I am perfectly fine as per doctor.but I am still suffering fatigue I always feel tierd still but don’t get fever. I am worried.please suggest me what to do and what not to do.

    • Dear Baby,
Do not worry too much. Give your body time to recover. Focus on good things in life and what you CAN do. And… keep doing the MIR-Method, please. If you are worried too much, go see your doctor again.
      Good luck!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  26. it used to be when i got sick, i would get a fever.

afte three instances of heat exhaustion, i stopped getting fevers, and i(this has lretty much always veen the case, for as long as i remember) i can’t hand,e heat all around my body like in a sauna or a hot tub. so i think when my core heats up, it doesn’t cool down, which sets me up for heat exhaustion, exclet that now i don’t get fevers when sick, so my body isn’t chasing the sickness away.

two things: about 10 weeks ago i ran onto a chi machine, got three to experiment, like the sSun Ancon by far the best. it is set up on a massage table and i have used it about an hour a day since April 9, 2017 with amazing results. my health has dramatically improved, i am eating better, and i aso recently got FIR mats.

so after feeling low for a couple of days starting Friday evenijg 6/23, i awakened with chest congestion this morning, so i have laid face-down on an amethyst FIR mat set to high while using the chi machine to hit the chest with pressure, far infrared heat, and movement all at the same, to impose a fever in the chest, with a generous amount of metholatum with eucalyptus smithii added rubbed into my chest. after 30 minutes of that i turned onto my back and stayed on the chi machine with high infrared heat going for another 25 minutes. i am now laying down on a full length FIR mat, amethyst side up, set to a moderate-high-heat that is generating some perspiration, again, to impose a fever-type condition which my body isn’t generating on its own.

am drinking water. i feel good, but don’t know if what i am doing is going to work, i,e., replace a fever that my body should be generating on its own, which it isn’t because apparently, i am off-kilter internally from a heat standpoint. my body seems to be confused, and this was the case prior to owning chi machines or FIR mats. it rather that i nkw have some compensations. i could use reflexology on my hands or feet

    • Dear Gayla,
Yes, it is as you describe: your body is probably confused when it can’t produce fever. However, does your body NEED to produce a fever now? Many healthy people only generate a fever every 3 years or so. So maybe you don’t need to worry so much about it? Or are you really tired? Hope the MIR-Method can help you get some clarity on this!
Wishing you good luck and growing health!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  27. Thanks for writing this article. I am 45, and I seem to have lost my ability to produce a fever. I have not had a fever in the last three years, always tired, unable to sleep at night. My seasonal allergy went away too. I seemed healthy at first, but a variety of disturbing symptoms followed – chronic low body temperature, severe constipation, inability to produce urine, low BUN/Creatinine ratio, neurological issues. Our ability to produce a fever is essentially for normal function.

    • Dear Harriett,
Yes, something is really not working properly. Looks like you are somehow ‘stuck’ in life. I draw that conclusion from not being able to let go of stool and urine. It’s not flowing. Is there anything in your life that you need to let go of? Please contact one of my coaches for an online session to have a look at your situation.
I hope you can somehow make yourself free again! And then the fever will come too!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  28. Hi, I’m 17 turning 18 this year and the last time I had a fever was back in 2010, when I was 11. When I was a kid I didn’t get fever’s very often but I got a fever at least once a year. Now I never get sick and I do not live a super healthy lifestyle. I’m always tired when I get back home from school but I don’t know if that means that I’m always tired or if I’m just always having a hard day. I sometimes wonder if I get fever’s but I just don’t feel any symptoms and never notice. Is that possible?
Is something wrong with my immune system or is my body just really healthy?

    • Dear Thelma,
It is hard to tell what your body is doing from a distance. You could ask for a consultation with one of the MIR-Method coaches. They can give you answers through Skype, phone or email.
Your body is probably still quite healthy, since you are at school, so I expect you are under 20 years of age. And… the fact that you are always tired after school can mean that school is hard for you and drains your energy. In that case step 8 will help you (Optimize Chakras and Aura) to keep draining energies away from you. How do you feel during the weekends? Is your energy level then better?
You do not HAVE to have fevers. Healthy people can have a fever once in every 5 or 10 years. So don’t worry too much about that!
Hope your energy will get a bit better soon!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  29. I have never had a fever. Even when I had appendicitis, doctors were amazed by my lack of a high temperature. I do spend most of my life feeling tired too.

    • Dear Kaylie,
Well, then I hope you will want to give the MIR-Method a try. If you then start to have a fever you can be really happy! Hope your temperature will rise soon! Sounds a bit odd, huh? But I mean it really in a kind way.
Hope to hear from you when your body is able to make a good fever!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  30. Dear Mireille,
Thank you so much for this post. I have never ever had fever, not that I remember at least. Now I am 29years old, and suffer from Hashimoto syndrom, my thyroid is almost gone and I drink euthyrox to replace it. Still no fever. Still tired all the time, feeling empty and depressed. I have no idea what is MIR method nor how and where to start, but I will try to find out, if you have any advice for me please send me. BEST REGARDS !

    • Dear Sandra,
If you speak German, just go to the German website and read the home page and watch the instruction video. You then know how to start. If you speak English, just go to the home page and start reading, then watch the instruction video to know how it is done. The MIR-Method takes 2 mintues, 2 times a day and is totally for free.
Hope you will want to give it a try and that your thyroid problems can somehow become less!
      Good luck!
      Greetings! Mireille

  31. Hi,
I had influenza type a in the year 2000, and then in the year 2004 I also contracted Lyme’s disease or Borrelliose. Since then I never get a fever. I was recently diagnosed with influenza again and did not get a fever this Time where as the time in 2000 I had a high fever for 10 days. I believe that somethings not right anymore with my immune system.

    • Dear Lisa,
It is possible that your body is working hard to create a fever again. That is, if it is necessary. Do you have any other symptoms, that verify the diagnosis?
Hope you may have a good fever again!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  32. Hi im 40 y/0 never had a fever since 1999. My last fever was about 18 years ago. I also wonder why..

    • Dear Conie,
And do you feel tired? Or are you well? When you have good energy, there is nothing to worry about.
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

    • I haven’t had a fever in over 10 years,, maybe more, all ways fatigued and a lot of sinus drainage but all ways clear, I feel my immune system is shot

      • Dear Scott,
What does it mean, your ‘immune system is shot’? You may want to give the MIR-Method a try to restart your immune system.
Good luck! I hope you will get a fever one day! 🙂
        Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  33. Hi my name is tosca. Not clear on how to do the mri method.i think i need this been sick fo two days but no fever. Extremely tired.HELP!!

  34. I have had several near death experiences b/c I get no fever and can’t tell I am seriously sick. I have had kidney cancer w/no bleeding or any backache. I seem to have generalized pain but most often no localized pain so this too threatens me as it is hard to figure out what is wrong with me. I have Prosopagnosia, and I have diagnosed RA (very bad RA) Overweight, hearing loss that is not well defined. Short term memory loss life long but after menopause got slowly worse. I have been SEPTIC and spent 4 days in ICU and 2 in regular hospital room after infected kidney… NO FEVER. WHY

    • I forgot to name bad symptoms. I get almost no sleep. Even with meds designed for that. I can’t sleep!

    • Dear Dee,
There is obviously something wrong with your health. And because the symptoms are all over the place, it is probably hard for doctors to help you. Most important to start with is to regain your sleep and fever. Have you tried doing the MIR-Method? Maybe it can start something in your immune system.
Wishing you lots of strength and good luck!
      Mireille Mettes

  35. I just not over pneumonia and had no fever. Was given Cipro. Now I have diff and highest fever was 99.9. The highest it ever was Years ago was 120. I do not get sick often but always tired. Very low energy and always have to push my self to get threw work.

    • Dear Mary,
Then I hope you can use the MIR-Method to start creating a proper fever so your body can give yourself a reset, because life is quite heavy for you this way, isn’t it?
Hope it will get better for you!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  36. Hi,

Back in 2007 I had chronic pneumonia and that was the last time i ran a fever. Since then, I have been dealing with many illnesses and autoimmune disorders including AI Multiple Sclerosis, Transverse myelitis and elevated anti-cardio lipins. No one seems to do anything about my inability to produce a fever and i suffer from chronic fatigue which they chock up to MS and my AI disorder. Anything you can suggest to help me run a fever again would be great as I get infections but only know from the pain.

    • Dear Sina,
Have you tried using the MIR-Method? It is a way to make your body regain its strength to create fever again. Besides that, could you discuss this with your doctors and could ‘outside heating’ be a solution? Like saunas…. This is just a wild guess. A friend of mine with MS would NOT like to be heated. Her body responds well to cold. Which can also be a solution, but then you will have to take cold showers. Please try to open the conversation with your doctors and meanwhile you can start doing the MIR-Method.
      Good luck!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  37. Anybody knows of a clinical explanation for my friend always being tired and never having had a fever so I can take him to a doctor to talk about it? (no mind techniques answers, please)

    • Dear Alessandro,
Did you read the article above? To me it means that he is suffering from virus, bacteria or others, but his immune system isn’t responding to it, rather chasing it around, costing him a lot of energy.
If anyone can add to this, please feel free.
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  38. Hi, this is Ingrid. I am 32 years old, when I was about 13 I got meningitis and after that I do not remember having fever and in the last two months I find that I get very sick but no fever.

    • Dear Ingrid,
It may be possible that your body is having a hard time creating fever. Are you tired? Did you go to see your doctor?
Wishing you improving health every day…!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

    • Dear Umair,
It is only a problem if you are very tired during the day. If you have enough energy and can function normally, there is no reason for concern.
      Wishing you good health!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  39. I had my last fever at 28, I’ve had strep, flu, pneumonia, no fever. I turn 60 this year and I’m always tired. I don’t know if it’s related but I also have a under active thyroid that my doctor has to change doses of synthroid for me almost every time I go to the doctor.

    • Dear Theresa,
Yes, there could be a connection between your thyroid and not having fever. i hope your body can regain its balance again. Do you use the MIR-Method? I wrote an article about the thyroid here: 53. Thyroid Disorder, how can the MIR-Method help? Maybe that can give you extra insight into the changes in your thyoroid all the time.
Hope you may regain your energy!
      Good luck!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  40. I am a healthy 16 year old. I work and go to school regularly and even eat regularly as well. But I don\’t seem to ever catch a fever. I haven\’t had a fever since I was about 7 or 8 years old. I don\’t seem to be able to sleep enough either. I\’m always tired even when I get enough sleep. Will I ever be able to tell when I\’m sick with no fever occurring?

    • Dear Aspen,
There is something not quite right when you are always tired and still so young. Did you have many moments of needing to take antibiotics? Then it is possible your intestines aren’t working properly. Would you maybe consider to use the MIR-Method? That may improve your immune system.
      Good luck!
      Mireille Mettes

  41. I am a healthy 66 years lady having full time job.
I do get all the flu symptoms bit never the temp rises.
I have headache. ..no du pain with cold and cough. ..
last time i jad got fever was 25 years back.

    • Dear Aroona,
Now what is important is if you also feel tired. If that is the case, then you may not be surprised if you get a fever when you start doing the MIR-Method. It is totally normal and a good reaction of the body. I hope you will get a fever! (Hmmmm, strange to wish somebody a fever, but it really is a good signal!)
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  42. Hello! I will be 26 in April and I have never had a fever in my memory. And im not sure i even had the when i was a child. I am always extremely tired, and i also have a hard time falling asleep even when Im exhausted. I think I can blame that mostly on the fact that I also have chronic pain. I have ALOT of back pain, and hip pain, and leg pain. I have a few buldging discs that are crushing my sciatic nerve. Ive always wondering why i never have a fever. Even when my appendix ruptured and when i have a severe kidney and blood infection.. should i mention this to my doctor?

    • Oh and ive been in and out of the cancer center where i come out still not knowing whats wrong with me. They think its possibly something autoimmune but cant figure it out. Randomly my white blood count gets really high and its completely unexplainable.

      • Dear Brittney,
Please look up the totally normal respons of the body. Why does it create white blood cells? Try to understand the good side of it that doctors sometimes see as a signal of illness.
        Greetings! Mireille

    • Dear Brittney,
Yes, please mention it to your doctor. It must give him/her a signal that your immune system is not alert enough, or that something is hindering making fever. I am glad you noticed it!
      Good luck!
      Greetings, Mireille

    • I am 65 and have had this since i was about 13 or 14? I also have sleep issues and aches and pains lifelong but last 2 years severe Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) just on one side of my body. I put a post here about my lack of fever lack of knowing most times where pain is located. But with RA I can locate and even see distortions. Lack of fever keeps me from taking meds that help my RA. Hopeful we will find an answer! SO CONFUSED, and so tired of sleep issues

  43. I’m 16. When I was five I have the flu then strep within a couple weeks. I’ve never had a fever since then. Why.

    • Dear Keely,
Well, there can be two reasons: either you’re very healthy and doing fine, or you have fatigues and your immune system isn’t working properly anymore. Reasons for the last one can be multiple, but most of all it has to do with emotional issues that make people subconsciously ‘want’ to be ill. For example not wanting to go to school…
Hope you don’t recognize the explanation and are doing fine! 😉
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  44. When I was 6 months old I had a fever of 106 for 2 weeks. I was riddled with pneumonia growing up and then finally at the age of 12, I had Pluracy. It almost killed me. Ever since that time, I have never had a fever that was higher than 99. I was very sick a few weeks ago and I was told nothing was wrong. I was weak, light headed, no fever and my blood levels were good according to the ER. My heart beats really fast through my chest and I and told it was normal. I cannot stand heat over 69. It really bothers me and drives my hubby up a wall because I have our A/C on set at 60 all through the fall until it gets cold enough for me to be comfortable. If it is any hotter than that I have a hard time functioning and am really tired and sluggish.

    • Dear Melissa,
Obviously, your subconscious is having problems with heat. Very logical, because it gave you such a horrible time when you were young. If you would like to use the MIR-Method, you can slowly but surely give this memory ‘peace of mind and heart’, so that you will be able to stand normal or even warmer temperatures again. Have faith, it will work out. Wonderful how you saw the connection with not ‘wanting’ to have a fever again!
      Greetings and good luck!
      Mireille Mettes

  45. I also can’t remember ever having a fever, even as a child. I had strip throat last winter for about three weeks and never once had a fever. Also, I had brain surgery about ten years ago. Could that be related? I have been checked for autoimmune disorders, but never with any result. I also stay very cold, very tired and generally feeling “bad”. I have major skin problems, blisters just appear and take months to heal. I get dark patches on my skin (with no pain or itching) that last for months. It all seems like autoimmune problems to me, but the doctors say “we just don’t know”.

    • Dear Laura,
Yes, the brain surgery can definitely have something to do with it. The doctors cannot find it yet, unfortunately, because the symptoms must get worse first. Please give the MIR-Method a try AND maintain contact with your doctors. You need both. I really hope that in time your immune system can create a good fever to help you through this.
      Good luck!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

    • Hi Laura, have you asked to get your cortisol symptoms checked? You may be suffering from adrenal fatigue which might explain all of your symptoms. I am looking in to this myself and it is really important to try and find the primary cause even if the doctors say they don’t know

  46. I NEVER EVER run fevers. I seriously can’t remember the last time I had one. Maybe as an infant??? My husband says that I’m super woman. But I am exhausted all the time!! This is the first I’ve ever heard of the two being related. Weird!

    • Dear Shawna,
Yes, it is possible that actually your immune system is not functioning properly. What may happen is if you start using the MIR-Method, your body MAY create a fever. If that happens, please let it be and don’t ask for medication, unless the doctor tells you to. Fever is good and necessary to fight any virus or bacteria. I hope you will regain some energy soon!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  47. I see a lot of interesting posts on your website. You have to spend a lot of time writing, i
know how to save you a lot of work, there
is a tool that creates unique, google friendly articles in couple of seconds, just

    • Dear Shelia,
Actually, I love writing the articles. I learn a lot from them and they don’t take so much time. Thank you for being concerned with my part of the work!
      Greetings,
      Mireille Mettes
