  1. Hi Mireille, I have started to do the MIR-Method and I have shared it. I wonder if you can give me some advice please. I have a daughter who has BPD and I have suffered from alot of emotional abuse over the years which has started to effect my health. She became homeless just over a month ago so I let her move in with me. Everything was going fine so I thought apart from a few incidences but over the new year I had my elderly mom with me for a few days. My daughter had gone to stay with ber ex neighbour for a few days and came back on the sat
    Something trivial triggered her and she started with ber insults. I said if she can’t respect me in my own home she can take her things and leave which she did with one bag. A week later she messaged me as if nothing had happened yet I was still feeling the effects of the message she had sent me when she left that I was not a mother, never have been and if anything should happen to ber to not go to her funeral or give any speech and so much more hurtful comments,when she messaged me recently i asked her if she had read what she said as it really hurt and would like an apology. Her reply was it’s you that gets me to that point
    Wow! I give up so I replied which she hasn’t bothered to read and I am sure if she does she will get very defensive
    I have been through my own traumas and done loads of healing
    I really don’t know what to do moving forward as I can’t help her and she sees everything so differently. It’s like I am mirroring her behaviour and she is projecting onto Me. My nervous system can’t take it anymore. Also I have tried downloading chapters 1-3 and downloaded Adobe reader but won’t let me open the files.

      Everything I read is total wisdom. You can never win this. I am sure you know. Please take good care of yourself and try to learn how you can respond to all her attempts to draw your attention on her.

      Yes it can, but unfortunately I cannot guarantee it. Once I treated a woman who could not bare the thought of her mother-in-law to hold her child. It stopped her from becoming pregnant. So, infertility may have a ‘technical’ cause but can also be an emotional blockage. In both cases the MIR-Method can support becoming fertile again.

  2. Your comment on complete control over our own lives is fallow as noone has complete control over their lives. External factors cannot be dismissed or discounted. You can decide how you feel but it is incongruent to say any of us has complete control over our lives. Perhaps you could expound upon that comment as I am tending to take the comment very concretely.

      I agree with you. There are many factors outside of us that influence us. Taking control is quite difficult. The way you deal with all the outside factors, however, is something you CAN influence. Sometimes you need to fight back. Sometimes you need to surrender and let it be.

  3. Hi Mireille,
    I believe I have an addiction, but not the typical type. For around 6-7 years I have started staying up very late doing things I like. I like to study and take notes reading articles, usually new research, on health and wellness, (I also sell vitamin supplements and cosmetics). I like reading and following seminars(usually on spiritual and personal growth that originate from the U.S. that with time difference begin really late. I try to watch the replays, but during daytime it’s hard to find the time.) And before I go to sleep I meditate. For many years I have worked on myself. Apart from reading physical books, I usually do these things using the internet. For sure I involve myself in more things than I have time for.

    The problem is that my rhythm is turned upside down. The most I sleep is usually 6 hrs and often less. I know that it is not good for health, memory and energy and none-the-less, I continue to do so.
    I sincerely say to myself every night, “Tonight I’m going to bed early” (that means by midnight) but I regularly find ways that it is necessary for me to do “just one more thing” before I go to bed, and it gets later, and later before I actually end up going to bed. THAT’S why I think it’s an addiction. My father was a very heavy drinker and often drunk. Maybe that has played the part of some kind of negative pattern for me and I somehow believe there is a guilt thing behind it that is part of it.

    I have just turned 70 and I don’t look it nor do I feel it. I have always been very active and continue to have my own business, but I feel that this Habit is not good. It affects me physically and emotionally and I want to eliminate it, and whatever is causing it, forever.

    Could you please tell me what is the best thing to say to rid myself of this? If I have understood correctly, I say this first and then repeat the 9 steps. I am seeing differences in several aspects of myself, especially in food choices, since I have started the MIR Method and am very pleased to see the MIR is helping me.

    • Dear Dianne,
      The fact that your father was an alcoholic is probably the cause of all this. He would come home late, and you would only be safe until he would have been asleep. So as a child you probably waited until he was asleep. As a grownup this can be a pattern subconsciously of not wanting to go to sleep, because it feels unsafe.
      You don’t need to add any phrase in front of the 9 steps. The steps will work on changing your sleep pattern. For example in the meridians, with the gallbladder and liver meridian, if you release old angers these meridians will start to function better, causing you to feel sleepy at the time when those two meridians are at their highest.

      The best you can do, is lie your hands on your uterus, when you have menstrual pains and the do the MIR-Method.
      For headache: put your hand on the side that is hurting and then do the MIR-Method.
      For panic: Release panic. Do it often!

    out. We are shifting into more and more Authority over our bodies, and our affairs. There are many sources now bringing out the fact that the Body-Intelligence is apparently unlimited in its abilities, and most importantly, this Innate Intelligence takes its direction from
    us. Our self talk, our outer talk, and the instructions and direction which we gibe it to perform or accomplish., and our perception of
    Reality. This Frees us from the ideas that some things are incurable. Even if modern medicine does not have the “Cure”, our Innate Intelligence can reverse and correct any Condition.. We are just beginning to catch up with how Cause and Effect actually work. The MIR Method, is a perfect place to get familiar with how we can be the Cause, and the Body can express the Effect….     I have been doing the MIR method sins aug 6 2016 now .
    I’m 50 years old and smoked pot for 25 years dayly ….
    And I stopped !!! Have not smoked sins the day I first started with the MIR-Method !!!!
    I have had headaches , bad nights , still dreaming like never before, dry mouth and eyes
    Big red spot out of nowhere (is going now) Realy smelling… Wel bad ,is getting better slowly
    I have no problem doing this for years , and realize that i have still some detoxing to go through
    But how long before these symptoms get less ???
    And i say the 9 steps and than release smoking addiction ….
    I just read i have to say that first , does it matter ???

      Your body is responding greatly! You support it by drinking water to help detox old rubbish. It can last up to two weeks, so don’t worry too much about it. You’re obviously doing great! Am very happy for you that smoking is gone. Good luck!

      I truly don’t know if the MIR-Method can help you with it. Many people report alleviation, but not yet that it actually cured… I am sorry to be so direct, but I don’t want to give false hope. What you can do: place your hand on the lung where the pain is. Then stroke with one hand on the other while saying the 9 steps. If the pain ‘moves’, which means you feel it get stronger in another place, then just move your hands to that place. Read the article and see the video about it here: 120.   11. For Smoking addiction, before the nine steps, do I have this right: 1st stroke and say 3x smoking addiction, then stroke again and say 3x let go of smoking addiction? Do I do this every time or just the first time. Will this also help with emotions or do I have to do an additional process for that? Thank you so much, when I followed along with your video through the steps I already felt a difference, I felt very light and positive. Thanks again for the knowledge!!

      So great you already felt more light and positive. I always love it when people can actually feel it working! I understand your confusion with the addiction. What you do is:
      3x Release smoking addiction
      Then do all 9 steps.
      When you say ‘release smoking addiction’ you also acknowledge that you are addicted and that is enough.
      For emotions you do not need to do an additional process, because the 9 steps deal with all emotions. Maybe you will find this article interesting: “56. Emotions first” There I explain how the 9 steps take care of old emotions.

  12. Hi Mireille, I have a question on stroking for addictions. You mentioned to add the addiction statement (0). I am addicted to sugar. I acknowledged my addiction by stroking the hand and saying “I am addicted to sugar” 3 times. Is this what I say all the time with the 9 steps or acknowledge this once then say “sugar addiction” as step 0 along with the 9. And do I do it until i feel the addiction leave? Thank you so much for your work…bless you

      What you say exactly is: ‘Let go of Sugar Addiction’, 3 times. Then you say step 1 ‘Optimise acidity’ 3 times, then step 2 through 9. By saying the first sentence ‘Let go of Sugar Addiction’, you already acknowledge for yourself that you are addicted to sugar. By the way, great step you’re taking, because it is quite a troubling addiction for many many people!
      And yes, please continu as long as you feel the addiction is there. It can really take more than 4 months.

  15. Seed of Self Love is so sweet and warm and loving. I just self comforted with it. Your warmth of heart made me feel not alone. Inhave been suffering lately with depletion and physical symptoms connected to heartbreak. Emotional and teeth and heart and adrenal and fatigue problems. Overwhelment with financial pressures. Feeling lost. I feel very alone on my journey with no one to comfort me. Yes, I feel like the song, ” Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child”.
    The child inside is sad and forlorn. Yes i am 63 but no age limit to the child.
    It has been so difficult for me to self soothe. Somehow, I did this with you just now because you were with me, lovingly guiding me, I could do it. Bless You. Can I come and live at your house?

    Thank you for a wonderful method! I have two questions please. Does it matter where you touch the hand, and can one also touch the neck, face, foot, etc. either consistently or alternating with top of hand like you show? Also, what is the effect of doing it more than twice a day?

      Yes, you can touch any other part of your body, as long as it is skin on skin. Yes, you can alternate. Many people do, especially those who are very sensitive! And if you do it more than twice a day, there is no extra improvement. Your body can not work any faster than it already does 😉

      Yes, you can do this on babies. Just stroke them on a hand, arm or leg, skin on skin. Then say the 9 steps, each 3 times. Just like you do it with yourself. However, as mother or caretaker, you also MUST do the 9 steps, to make sure your hidden emotions don’t go onto the baby. All adults must work on themselves if they want to treat a child or baby.

        • You can do the MIR-Method for someone else, if that person has given you permission. You can then stroke the hand of the other while saying the 9 steps out loud. It is important that you have done the MIR-Method for at least 4 weeks before you start treating somebody else.

  21. I am a US trained nurse working with refugees in Italy. Is there any application of the MIR to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? I would really appreciate any advice you could give me on this. I come across too many instances of untreated PTSD and I think there is a definite need for some kind of self-help on this topic. Thank you

    • Dear Anne,
      Yes, it would really help the people if they would start using the MIR-Method. They need to get in touch with their own safe feelings again and wash out the dramatic emotions they have gone through. If they are very traumatised, please teach them to only start with step 5 and 7 for two weeks. After that they can do all 9 steps. Make sure you tell them they need to repeat it for several months!

    first of all excuse me for my mistakes in english I hope you will understand me.
    I am a french woman and I started the mir method on me and my dog 3 days ago
    I’m fat and addicted to eating.My homeopathic doctor I saw on Wednesday said that I make a chronic depression which dated by far well before my birth. I try to lose weight but each time I auto-sabote? my self and start to eat more and more .Are there other sentences to say when one wants to lose weight ; one is afraid of people and one does not feel safe by loosing weight?
    my dog had the disease of square being baby and I would like to relieve it of his after-effects which make it snuff and sneeze all the time he is an Airedale burrow 5 year old.

    • Dear Laurence,
      Hope you can keep it up! The MIR-Method works in a different way. There is no need to add anything to the 9 steps. The commands will work on your subconscious and in a deep way. This means that it can take months before the old emotions have gone away. If you can keep doing the MIR-Method, you will lose the drive for eating more than you should. You can do this! Just make it an every-day habit out of it!
      Your dog can be helped by stroking him with the 9 steps.
