Menstrual problems — 20 Comments

  1. Dear Mireille,
I starting doing the MIR-Method a little over three months ago (all 9 steps) and after just four weeks I noticed that my menstrual pain had disappeared!
So I kept following the method faithfully twice a day and can now say that the results are consistent: over the last three months my period has always come without any pain.
After almost 30 years of horrible abdominal cramps associated with my menstrual cycle, I’m so relieved to find out that there is such a simple solution!
Thank you very much for sharing this method with the world.
I wish you all the best

    • Dear Alessandra,
I am SO very happy for you! What a relief it must be! Thank you for giving the MIR-Method a try!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  2. Hello Mireille. Next Sunday, I will have started the MIR-Method 3 weeks ago. I do the 9 steps twice a day. I feel good doing it. Last Tuesday, I started menstruating again after 15 months. I thought I’d completely stopped and am, of course, not really very happy about it. I am 53 years old. I suspect this is because of step 6 (balance hormone system). I hope this is a one-time occurrence. I’m going to keep doing it. If this method is as simple as it seems, no one has to spend large amounts of money anymore for expensive courses. I took the course “Quantum Touch” in September for 300 euro. Maybe it wasn’t even necessary. Greetings Madó

    • Hi Madó,
Your menstruation may have started because of the cleansing of your blood. You might want to read the article: “Have you recently had a nose bleed?” That’s what it’s about. I certainly hope that you’re right, that courses aren’t necessary in the future any more! Yet, they are important for many people for learning new ways to heal. As long as it is necessary, courses are also necessary. Everyone who has done a course can share it with others.
Much success and I hope that you begin to feel much better in many areas!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  3. Dear Mireille,
I always get my period every 4 weeks but now there were only 3 weeks between periods. Can the MIR-Method have something to do with this? I’ve been doing it for 5 days now, the 9 steps twice a day.
    Greetings.

    • Dear N.,
Yes, it’s possible that there are changes in your hormonal system. Usually that’s because of step 3 (“Detach mother”). Maybe there are “issues” at the moment between you and your mother or another woman/daughter?
In principal, this should normalize itself again.
      Success!
      Greetings, Mireille

  4. Dear Mireille,
I’ve been doing the MIR-Method since November 4th. I had my menstrual periods during this time. The past week I used sanitary napkins but didn’t menstruate. I continued taking the pill the past few weeks, and no, I’m not pregnant. Can this also be a reaction to doing the MIR-Method??

    • Dear Marjolein,
Yes, it’s possible. The hormone system is also encouraged to work by the MIR-Method, so you body can have any number of reactions.
      Sincere greetings,
      Mireille Mettes

  5. I did the MIR-Method for four weeks, and whether it’s a coincidence or not, I don’t know, but my menstruation seems to go better. Less blood loss, everything seems less intense. Did have a strong craving for sweet and fatty snacks for two days, which I gave into……it’s not really healthy, I think, but I’ll take that over so much blood loss.

  6. After a few days of the MIR-Method, I had a short daylong period. After 2 weeks of the MIR-Method, my menstruation was much less severe that I was used to. And after 6 weeks of the MIR-Method, my menstruation was shorter with much less blood loss and pain. And it came after 4 weeks; normally there was 3 ½ weeks between periods. I am very happy about this and almost can’t believe it. Now I’m looking forward (curious) to the next time!

  7. Dear Mireille,
Since I’ve been doing the MIR-Method, I barely have any cramps any more during ovulation! I was always bent over double from the pain, for years. My abdomen was always enormously swollen and cramped. I had this off and on for two days. I also don’t have any loss of mucus between periods any more. In addition, my breasts have become firmer and I react less violently to the little bit of cow’s milk that I sometimes drink. I noticed this after 4 weeks of the MIR-Method. I had a protocol made and think that this effect is directly related to “balance ovaries”. By the way, the problems returned when I left out the extra step and now that I’ve added it again I notice the same effect!
    greetings Loes

  8. With much pleasure I did the MIR-Method for 28 days. Besides the fact that I feel much calmer inside, am more in balance, I also have for the first time in 30 years no cramps and painful, swollen breasts during menstruation.
What a gain! I’m super thankful for the tips I received during the 28 days; they have improved my life. I will continue to do this weekly. Once again, thanks. X

  9. Hi Mireille, I’ve been doing the MIR-Method for 3 weeks now. First, I did the steps 5 and 7 for the first 2 weeks. And now I’ve been doing all of the steps for one week. I have to admit, I feel really great! And I’m really grateful for everything that is happening to me. I’m just letting it happen. By bringing the hormone system in balance, I now have light blood loss while taking the pill. It stops during the day. It only occurs in the morning. Friendly greetings, Annet.

  10. Coincidence? Or….. a result of the MIR-Method. I stopped taking the pill at the end of April. Before I started taking the pill, I had a lot of problems before and during my menstruation. Using the pill lessened these problems but they were still very noticeable. Backache, stomachache and very tired. After I stopped using the pill, the problems returned but were much worse. On August 4th, I began doing the MIR-Method. On August 9th, I “suddenly” got my period without having a single moment of pain. Hooray! I slept much more deeply than I am used to doing (this is always the case around my period) but that was the only thing. Coincidence? Or the result of the MIR-Method? I can hardly wait until next month to see how it is the next time. After all the miserable days surrounding my period…..this is a really different experience.

    • Dear Nienke,
That must have been a really wonderful experience! You’re not looking forward to having your period and then all of the problems are suddenly gone; hooray! I’ve heard this from more women, that they have less pain and also that the blood loss is more normal. What a blessing!
I’m very happy for you and would love to hear how the next month is for you!
      Hearty greetings!

      • Hi Mireille,
I just had the following period and was supposed to let you know it went. This time I did have some problems with “pain” but much less than all the other times. It was more of a nagging ligament pain. I was also noticeably tired this time for several days. It was more difficult to work because of these problems. In the meantime, I’ve got magnesium to take during my menstruation. I read that it could help. Am really curious how it will go next time.

        • Hi Mireille,
And now it’s the time following the last time. It’s actually like last time. But, meanwhile I’ve read some tips on the Internet. I now take Magnesium combined with vitamin B during menstruation. Because of that, the tiredness was not so overwhelming that I could hardly work.

          • Now, that’s a good thing! And good for you for following your feelings about what you need.
Wishing you much strength and success!

  11. I used to have a short hormone stick placed just under my skin to prevent pregnancy. Since December 2013, I’ve had a spiral IUD. In February 2014, I went to a “body self development system” (body-sds) here in Denmark because I felt really down. This therapist told me that it could easily be through use of the spiral. Emotionally, my upper and lower bodies were/are no longer connected to each other. She has helped me to improve this.
Now I have a check-up Monday at the doctor’s, to see if the thing is still placed properly, but it doesn’t matter; I want to have it removed.
I have the idea that it’s because of the MIR-Method that I now feel and can express what the spiral is doing inside of me.
I feel that the uterus used to be a healthy open flower that was in full bloom, while with the spiral it has shrunk down to a bud that is becoming continually smaller and tighter. Instead of openly receiving air and light it is becoming a dark, hard orb, where air and light can’t get in.
It might be nice if Mireille were to devote some attention to this?!
Heartfelt greetings and thank you for the MIR-Method Miranda (DK)

  12. I’ve been doing the MIR-Method now for 4 weeks. In the beginning, I was tired and slept more. I also seemed to be more out of balance emotionally. After twice going for long periods (once for a half year, once for 11 months) without having my period, it started up again this week. I’m 45 years old now and hope I’ll become hormonally fit again.
