111. Anosmia, When You Lose Your Sense of Smell — 13 Comments

  1. I noticed you mentioned brain trauma and emotional trauma as being possible causes.

I have been working on releasing emotional trauma for over a year now and I have finally released the core blocks and I feel amazing for the first time in years, no negative feelings, I feel calm, peace, but i have lost my sense of smell.

I think that when we have a shift in consciousness we lose our sense of smell for periods of time.
The reason i think this is i lived in a dysfunctional family all my life and in 2008 i finally realized this truth that there was just something wrong with my family and I began to realise that it was never going to change, can’t fix it.
This was a major shift in my perception and understanding of my reality which caused more trauma but different kind of trauma hopelesness, deep sadness, fear, panic, and I lost my sense of smell totally for two years. In 2015 I left my family and moved to another country and was in denial doing positive affirmations that everything was going to be okay and it was better because I now only had a long distance relationship with them, I was not being traumatized daily, my life was better, well then my sense of smell returned.

I am estranged from my family, no contact whatever and I have finally got acceptance, and forgiveness and I feel happy to move forward with my life no sadness or sorrow or loss( it has taken a lot of constant work with different methods to get here) and I loose my sense of smell .

For me it is a major shift in consciousness. Your reality literally changes, how you see things how you feel behave etc.

Thought I’d share since I’ve noticed our western medicine really never knows what causes diseases.

  2. Its also one of the first Symptoms of Parkinson’s I know as my husband lost his sense of smell quite a few years before his doctors realized he had Parkinson’s so one to watch out for if reading my comments here. I try to make the meals I cook more tasty with herbs and spices which compensates a bit. but MIR sadly isn’t something he would do. so maybe I should try on him.
anyone else tried it on someone else?

  3. A few years ago, one day in January, I was cleaning with vinegar and suddenly realized I did not smell it at all. I then sniffed various bottles and also toxic things, until I told myself there was no point in exposing my nostrils to these chemicals because I probably damaged them more. I went to the doctor, got some spray, went to the health food store and got Tea tree, but did not smell it until months later. I started the MIR-Method in June or so that year. At first I noticed some smells sometimes. Slowly more and more. I remember when you, Mireille described it 2 years ago or so. I still do the MIR-Method everyday. Somedays in English, somedays in Dutch, because I am bilingial. My sensory perception still improves. How long was I without the ability to recognize smells, how did it happen, i don t know. But I am very happy and grateful that it is restored. Tx Diana

    • Dear Diana,
Thank you for sharing! And how wonderful that your smell is improving! Must be great to smell some of the flowers again! Thank you for embracing the MIR-Method!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes

  4. Well I have been doing the MIR-Method now for almost 3 months and for 2 months I had very dark urine especially in the morning. The MIR-Method worked incredibly well for 6 days, and then something happened, and some of it worked, some of it didn’t. I will possibly have to see a specialist. Now I know kinesiology works, so I now want to see a naturopath who does this too, as my doctor only works with drugs – and I am getting tired of getting ‘in trouble’ with him because I forget to take the drugs.(memory problem) My partial sense of smell has started working a bit – but I am not sure if it is the MIR-Method or the Zinc I have been taking. I will keep up the MIR-Method because it has at least detoxified me and proven itself to me too.

I do like the smell of rain on cement the best. 🙂

    • Dear Dave,
Yes, awesome smell, rain on cement! I love it too! The zinc must work well, I know it can do much good with anosmia. The MIR-Method can help your body to draw more zinc into your cells. You can read more about it in article 27. Production resumes.
      Good luck!
      Greetings, Mireille

      Cordialement,
      Mireille Mettes

  6. I really appreciate the MIR-Method. I have been experiencing gradual whole system alignment, which is noticed and commented on by my friends and acquaintances. I completed the 30 day session for the first time (Jan.21-Feb.21) in 2016. I’m now beginning a second session with the specific intent of healing my Anosmia, which is due to a concussion that occurred in 1980. 36years without a hint of what anything smells like (close-up skunk spray included). I’m also trying aroma therapy with lemon, clove, eucalyptus, and rose oils. I will forward any breackthroughs to this site. Thankyou, Chris

    • Dear Chris,
Thank you for giving the MIR-Method a second round for your Anosmia! Sometimes it just takes longer and many people in the Netherlands keep doing the MIR-Method for years. Keep seeing how your body can regenerate itself and how cells of the body can free themselves of old memories. It is all there, we just need to practice it.
Good luck and yes please, keep me informed!
      Greetings, Mireille Mettes
